The trip was 'Awesome' in the words of our children. The group number was excellent and we were treated to the most wonderful knowledge and experience by our tour guide Sam. Have already reported back to our travel agent about how wonderful the tour was for the family. Sam had the ability to read the vibes and suggested rearranging some times to ensure the younger travellers didn't get too tired. His knowledge was incredible and made everyone feel very safe and comfortable. He was always there to help us when there were some problems. Kumuka was an unknown tour company to me and I was a bit aprehensive. However the tour was sensational and we wish Kumuka all the very best for their future growth in the travel industry. We will certainly be spreading the good experience with friends, family and work colleagues.

Rafts, Jungles & Beaches - ASFT1

Just wanted to thank you for a wonderful and memorable 40th birthday. My family and I went on the Rafts, Jungles and Beaches Family Tour (29 December - 2 January 2008) to celebrate my big birthday. What a fantastic time. Our guide Nuwa was sensational - funny, flexible, knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. We were truly a family group with the grandparents coming along so our ages ranged from 6 to 65. There were times when the itinerary was a little too challenging for both the youngest and the oldest but at these points Nuwa was unflappable making alternate arrangements or finding ways to make it work.

Highlights? My mother (grandma) parasailing in Koh Samet, our six year old son on his first Tuk Tuk ride... boy did he think that was the coolest thing EVER... the kids (and the big kids) jumping off the Floating Jungle Rafts and being swept downstream by the strong River Kwai current, riding elephants through the jungle, trekking in the hills, our nine year old daughter bartering at the Night Markets like she'd been doing it all her life, the lady selling orange juice on the night train to Chaing Mai.

The adventures that my family shared over the 2 weeks and the shared memories we now have are the best birthday presents I could ever imagine.

We wanted something with enough activity and guidance and with reasonable comfort which makes it a holiday for the parents too. We had never done an organised tour before. 

Fantastic holiday for family with teenagers, enough time seeing and doing and a bit of free time. Both tour guides could not have been more friendly or helpful and our enjoyment was their main goal. Thanks Ross and Sam - they added the personal touch. we had a great time.

This was the first tour we have taken although we have travelled extensively and we found all aspects of this tour especially the guides and porters fabulous. I have no hesitations in recommending the Kumuka Himalayan Mountains & Rhinos tour of Nepal especially as a family. Our children are 15, 11 & 8 and they found the 5 day trek hard (it was hard) but not too hard and the sights and experiences along the way as well as the sense of achievement at the end made it all worth it. The highlight for the kids was Chitwan as it is very hands on with the elephants we bathed them, rode them and fed and played with baby elephants. We even saw rhinos! Twice! An experience we as a family will always treasure

We are writing regarding a recent family tour we did with Kumuka Worldwide – Pyramids, Camels and the Red Sea which commenced on 6 September 2008. We would like to express our appreciation for such a well organised tour. From the fantastic service we received when we booked the tour through Tara Andersen at Best Flights Pty Ltd to the final goodbye from Hisam – the Kumuka representative in Egypt at Cairo Airport.

Hisam met us at the airport and provided impeccable service and ensured that we were transported to our hotel and also checked us in. This was very much appreciated as we arrived in the early hours of the morning. He advised us on some highlights of Egypt we could enjoy the next day before our tour commenced and also organised a cruise for us that evening.

Our tour would not have been so memorable without our guide Michael Abdalla El Gandy. Michael made Egypt come alive for us – we will be forever grateful for his ability to explain the Egyptian history in a way our children will remember – forever. Mackenzie and Harrison enjoyed the tour so much and Michael is definitely responsible for a large part of this – too many highlights to list. He would explain everything until we all understood. Michael is definitely an asset to the Kumuka team and we could not thank him enough.

We would definitely recommend Kumuka to any family looking at creating memories for a lifetime – our children’s experiences were priceless.

Having travelled the world since a very young age, and having dealt with many tour & travel agencies, I have never encountered such an incredible team as we experienced with Kumuka. A few problems were encountered due to our travel agency, but it was no problem for Kumuka to go to great lengths to correct these problems on the agencies behalf. We dealt with many different people at Kumuka, namely Sam, Patrick, Phylis, Noah, Rose, Minah, and a few more who I'm sorry don't come to mind, but whoever we dealt with, was so obviously there to assist us and to ensure that our plans where taken care of. The extra attention to service and details for our tour, including the arrangements of our beautiful "wedding vow renewal" ceremony with the Masaii Mara, was one of the most beautiful experiences of our travels, this tour has changed our lives, and as it was my dream holiday to visit Africa, I cannot thankyou enough for making my every wish come true. My trip to Sabah with Kumuka was fantastic. Wild orang utans, pigmy elephants, proboscis monkeys and green turtles were highlights of the tour, as were other endangered animals and plants, the likes of which I've never seen before. We just returned from the Kumuka family tour in Egypt. It was a spectacular journey in every way possible but particularly because we had such a fine guide--Micheal Abdalla El Gandy. Although he is quite young, he had all of the skills of an experienced tour guide. He made our holiday fun and effortless on our part. Michael anticipated everything we might need and provided it. He genuinely seemed to enjoy everyone in the group--especially my two grandchildren who are 11 and 9 years old. They adored Michael and we all cried when we had to say goodbye to Michael and to Egypt. You should keep this fine guide and reward him for his outstanding performance.

My Family and I just got home from our 12 day tour of Egypt - Pyramids, camels and the red sea. Our Tour Guide was Micheal Abdalla El Gandy. Let me start by saying this. Micheal is an absolute asset to your company!!! He was like a walking library full of Egyptian history, culture etc. We all thouroughly enjoyed our trip to Egypt and we all know it was because of Micheal. I couldn't praise him highly enough so we just wanted to say thank you Kumuka for providing the best holiday experience we could have had. All our hotels were clean, friendly and upmarket, all our tours were informative and intersting and our methods of transportation were certainly creative. We are still re-living memories of our incredible tour, “Pyramids, Camels and the Red Sea.” Every day brought more treasures, and we repeatedly remarked, “I can’t believe we are seeing this!” This will surely be our most memorable vacation ever, thanks largely to our guide, Michael Abdala El Gandy. Michael’s vast knowledge, good humour and warm personality kept us all interested and entertained every step of the way. Not only that, he coordinated the details of our accommodation, transport and meals so that our three-generation party was always comfortable. We all have a better understanding of Ancient Egyptian history thanks to Michael’s tours, which were comprehensive but not overwhelming. We even learned some new games and jokes!
